El director de <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espectadorerrante.com\/index.php\/2017\/07\/28\/duelo-desenfado-steven-spielberg-detras-camara\/\">Duelo<\/a> y Tibur\u00f3n era el rey Midas de Hollywood no s\u00f3lo como director, sino tambi\u00e9n como productor de cl\u00e1sicos ochenteros como <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=qvsgGtivCgs\">Volver al Futuro<\/a> (Robert Zemeckis, 1985) y <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espectadorerrante.com\/index.php\/2017\/04\/16\/los-goonies-jugando-buscar-tesoro-pirata\/\">The Goonies<\/a> (Richard Donner, 1985). Sin embargo, no todos sus proyectos como creador intelectual fueron exitosos. En esta lista est\u00e1 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=-wwkx6d6_AI\">El Joven Sherlock Holmes<\/a> (Barry Levinson, 1985), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=9CJ9EDtZ2p8\">The Money Pit<\/a> (Richard Benjamin, 1986) y el citado filme de Joanou. Spielberg prefiri\u00f3 no acreditarse como productor de esta obra, si bien tuvo un rol directo en su realizaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n<p>Three O\u00b4 Clock High utiliza el recurrente t\u00f3pico de la secundaria estadounidense, el que pr\u00e1cticamente se transform\u00f3 en un subg\u00e9nero con algunos de los filmes del difunto John Hughes, en particular, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BSXBvor47Zs\">El Club de los Cinco<\/a> (1985), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=R-P6p86px6U\">Ferris Bueller`s Day Off<\/a> (1986) y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=HGLtBJupFFM\">Sixteen Candles<\/a> (1984). Tambi\u00e9n hubo otros ejemplos imposibles de olvidar como <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=vzva_I8WPAg\">Fast Times at Ridgemont High<\/a> (Amy Heckerling, 1982) y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VSX4YgdKKMk\">Valley Girl<\/a> (Martha Coolidge, 1983). El problema fue que el filme de Joanou fue un fracaso comercial, el que adem\u00e1s fue ignorado por la cr\u00edtica. Finalmente, pasaron los a\u00f1os y en la actualidad Three O\u00b4 Clock High es considerada una obra de culto.<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4077 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.espectadorerrante.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/maxresdefault-1024x576.jpg?resize=840%2C473\" alt=\"\" width=\"840\" height=\"473\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.espectadorerrante.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/maxresdefault.jpg?resize=1024%2C576&amp;ssl=1 1024w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.espectadorerrante.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/maxresdefault.jpg?resize=300%2C169&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.espectadorerrante.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/maxresdefault.jpg?resize=768%2C432&amp;ssl=1 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.espectadorerrante.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/maxresdefault.jpg?w=1280&amp;ssl=1 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 840px) 100vw, 840px\" \/>La est\u00e9tica del filme de Joanou es din\u00e1mica, con movimientos de c\u00e1mara que se inspiran abiertamente en el estilo visual de Martin Scorsese. En entrevistas, Joanou reconoce que su gran inspiraci\u00f3n fue <a href=\"http:\/\/www.espectadorerrante.com\/index.php\/2017\/03\/19\/after-hours-la-noche-bizarra-martin-scorsese\/\">After Hours<\/a> (Despu\u00e9s de Hora), lo que hace de Three O\u00b4 Clock High un deleite visual. Aquella caracter\u00edstica es su gran valor en torno a la historia de Jerry Mitchell (Casey Siemaszko), un estudiante promedio que llega tarde a clases y que a partir de un malentendido es asediado todo el d\u00eda por el conflictivo Buddy Revell (Richard Tyson).<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-4078\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.espectadorerrante.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/mv5bmwnimtu4mtetzdazmy00odu2lwe0ogmtogq5ndq1mjuzmtm3xkeyxkfqcgdeqxvyndiwodawnzg-_v1_-202x300.jpg?resize=202%2C300\" alt=\"\" width=\"202\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.espectadorerrante.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/mv5bmwnimtu4mtetzdazmy00odu2lwe0ogmtogq5ndq1mjuzmtm3xkeyxkfqcgdeqxvyndiwodawnzg-_v1_.jpg?resize=202%2C300&amp;ssl=1 202w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.espectadorerrante.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/mv5bmwnimtu4mtetzdazmy00odu2lwe0ogmtogq5ndq1mjuzmtm3xkeyxkfqcgdeqxvyndiwodawnzg-_v1_.jpg?w=600&amp;ssl=1 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 202px) 100vw, 202px\" \/>Joanou utiliza tomas que buscan resaltar los detalles y, sobre todo, la sensaci\u00f3n de angustia de Mitchell, quien al t\u00e9rmino de clases deber\u00e1 enfrentarse en una pelea a Buddy Revell. El filme es el cl\u00e1sico relato del gato y el rat\u00f3n en medio de todos los clich\u00e9s y escenarios propios de una escuela. El filme carece del existencialismo preadolescente de los filmes de Hughes, si bien profundiza otros \u00e1mbitos, entre ellos, la permanente sensaci\u00f3n de suspenso. En Despu\u00e9s de Hora, Scorsese mostraba como un oficinista com\u00fan y corriente se adentraba en la extra\u00f1eza del Soho de Nueva York, a la vez que conoc\u00eda las excentricidades de diversos personajes. En Three O\u00b4 Clock High sucede algo similar con Mitchell tratando de salvar el pellejo, a la vez que se mete en nuevos problemas. La cobard\u00eda es su Tal\u00f3n de Aquiles, produciendo como respuesta equivocaciones que producen exaltaci\u00f3n y risas, siempre desde el punto de vista de un indefenso sometido a situaciones algo absurdas.<\/p>\n<p>Phil Joanou fue una gran promesa, la que se acrecent\u00f3 con un notable filme de mafiosos llamado <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=PN_L96iEQfQ\">Estado de Gracia<\/a> (State of Grace) y sus c\u00e9lebres colaboraciones con la banda irlandesa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=U1ZJ_0_036M\">U2<\/a>. Sin embargo, se perdi\u00f3 con las pel\u00edculas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xWiUQhvxjG4\">Deseo y Decepci\u00f3n<\/a> (1992) y <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hwuRDxzitek\">Prisioneros del Cielo<\/a> (1996), las que fueron apuestas interesantes, pero no lo suficiente como para asegurar una carrera como autor y con una mayor variedad de obras. Joanou ha filmado poco en los \u00faltimos 20 a\u00f1os y con el tiempo se transform\u00f3 en la promesa que no fue. Aun as\u00ed, Three O\u00b4 Clock High se posiciona como una de sus obras m\u00e1s peque\u00f1as, pero tambi\u00e9n m\u00e1s interesantes. El filme es muy entretenido y tambi\u00e9n es innegable su influencia en la serie juvenil <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=jZeT_LxvsvM\">Parker Lewis Ganador<\/a> (Parker Lewis Can\u00b4t Lose \/ 1990-1993).
